-Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas was originally a lot darker. The lyrics were changed to be a bit brighter when Judy Garland objected to singing the dark lyrics, saying they felt evil. Originally, it was about Christmas in wartime.
-There is a Christmas Bogeyman known as Pere Fouettard. He was an innkeeper and butcher who killed children, turned them into sausage, and fed them to a passing man. That passing man was St. Nicholas, who proceeded to bring the kids back to life, kick the guy's ass, and make him his servant. He punishes kids in France.
-A successful advertising campaign in the 70's made KFC Chicken a Japanese Christmas Tradition.
-The original Grinch special was narrated by Boris Karloff, who was also one of the actors who played Frankenstein's Monster! (The original, in fact!)
-Gremlins was one of the movies that led to the creation of the PG-13 rating.
-In the movie Krampus, the kid has posters of the Robot Chicken and Rick Sanchez on his wall. These are references to Seth Green and Justin Roiland, who lend their voice to the killer gingerbread men!
-The Krampus Funko POP! has a basket with a brat inside on his back!
-There's a mission in one of the Hitman games where you stop two burglars from stealing from a house. These burglars? Harry and Marv!

Awwwwww. So sweet!

I dig the Christmas trivia.
I knew about Grinch, Gremlins, Green & Roiland and Hitman. The rest were new to me!

Merry Christmas!

Hey, they're fun, not original.
